“What Matters”

Sometimes when we are asked to contribute to charity, we may not know how much good we can do.

On behalf of the children, families, and elderly in Hampshire County, the United Way would like to thank you for your support.

388 boys and girls receive mentoring from over 100 adults through the Boy Scouts of the Potomac Council and the Boy Scouts of the Shenandoah Council as well as the Girl Scouts of the Shawnee Council.

Eastern Regional Family Resource Network provides Energy Express to 104 children during the summer. Through this program the children receive breakfast, lunch and help with their reading skills.

43 victims of domestic and/or sexual assault received counseling and other related services from the Family Crisis Center.

Hampshire County Special Services offers employment to 41 clients with developmental disabilities.

180 families are helped with food, clothing, household items, utilities, rent and other necessities by the Salvation Army.
